This is the smallest and cheapest Raspberry Pi of the moment. The board is only half the size compared to the Raspberry Pi Model A +, but offers almost the same possibilities!
Everything is small on the Raspberry Pi Zero. The board is 65mm x 30mm x 5mm, contains a mini camera connection, a microSD slot, mini HDMI, 2x micro USB (one for USB and one for power supply) and the power consumption is only 100mA and 140mA at full load.
Just like the A + and B +, the Pi Zero has a single core CPU at 1GHz and 512MB RAM. The GPIO header is not soldered so that you can determine, depending on your project, whether a header needs to be soldered to it, and what kind of one. This gives you a lot of freedom how you want to use the Pi Zero.
The small size does entail some limitations. To get started with the Raspberry Pi Zero you need a mini HDMI to HDMI adapter and a micro USB OTG cable. We have a bundle available to get you started quickly!
